Review 1: Brother Production Presents 1/6 scale Custom Robert De Niro HEAT 12" Action Figure

Michael Mann seems to have a thing fro bank robbers and making bank robber movies ;p Aside from "Public Enemies" in 2009 (check out DID's upcoming 1930s Chicago Gangster figure HERE and also HeadPlay's Johnny head for Public Enemies John Dillinger HERE), he also wrote and directed HEAT in 1995.

Heat is a 1995 American crime film written and directed by Michael Mann. It stars Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Val Kilmer. De Niro plays Neil McCauley, a professional thief, while Pacino plays Lt. Vincent Hanna, veteran LAPD homicide detective tracking down McCauley's crew. The central conflict was based on the experiences of former Chicago police officer Chuck Adamson and his pursuit in the 1960s of a criminal named Neil McCauley, after whom De Niro's character is named.

Michael Mann’s HEAT achieved both commercial and critical success. It marked the first time in which Oscar-winning actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino shared the screen, but the film is best known for its bank robbery-shoot-out scene.

This is the recently released Brother Production Presents 1/6th scale Custom Hand Made Robert De Niro THIEF 12-inch Action Figure. The boxed set comes with one Normal 1/6th scale Head of Robert De Niro as Neil McCauley, alternate 1/6th scale Head, Over 35 Moving Joints 12-inch Base Body, Realistic and Detailed Stripped Suit, Long Sleeve White Shirt, Tie, Magazine Carrying Vest, Belt, Socks, M4 Rifle, M4 Magazine x 8, Smoke grenade x 4, SIG P226 Pistol, US Dollar Notes, Duffle Bag, Gloved Hands, Black shoes, watch cap / hood / balaclava, Sunglasses and watch. Limited Edition run of 200 pieces.

As with all of Brother Production packaging, the box is just black, rectangular with a picture of the figure stuck in the middle. Once opened, the 12-inch THIEF figure sits in the top tray with all the 1/6 scale accessories placed below it.

Brother Production Presents 1/6 scale Custom Hand Made THIEF or Robert De Niro as Neil McCauley from HEAT 12" Action Figure as seen straight out of the box, wearing his striped suit jacket and pants with white long sleeve shirt and tie plus shoes. He comes with gloved hands.

Here's the alternate 1/6th scale Head sculpt of Brother Production's THIEF (Robert De Niro as Neil McCauley) with real-like sweat

1/6 scale Robert De Niro as Neil McCauley wearing the vest that holds the eight 30-round M4 / M16 magazines. I also switched out the rifle sling because I disliked the ugly green elastic rifle sling that was included with the M4.

Close-up of the 1/6 scale M4 assault rifle with new rifle sling. The original green elastic sling that came with this just doesn't look right (see the pictures above). In fact it looked so terrible i just had to switch it
